Quote of the Day: Dan Zevin

by Nov 19, 2018

Never wear a backward baseball cap to an interview unless applying for the job of umpire.

– Dan Zevin

There may be a few places beyond Major League Baseball where you can interview with a backward baseball cap, but there aren’t many. Generally, it is better to overdress for an interview than to come across as too casual. Even when you are 100% sure that the normal attire is a low-key, dressing up demonstrate that you: a) take the role seriously, b) care about making a good impression and c) ‘clean up well.’  You may also feel a bit more professional heading into the interview and anything to bolster your confidence is a good thing.
