Our Government Agency client in Boston is looking for an Administrative/Accounting Assistant with strong Excel skills to support their administrative and budgetary functions.  This is a contract role.  Must exhibit discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Run Microsoft Access queries and work in Excel (using formulas, pivot tables and v-look-ups etc.) 
  • Work with Budget staff to complete Bi-weekly payroll projections
  • Monitor, track, and update budget information
  • Assist in tracking postage expenses
  • Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring spending
  • Additional administrative duties as assigned




  • Solid understanding of MS Office programs 
  • Critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Able to complete work in a deadline-driven environment
  • BA/BS in any field
