Our Biotechnology client in Cambridge is looking for a proactive Administrative Support Representative with excellent oral and written communication skills to support their team. Our client is a leading international provider of life science research. This is a contract role and a potential temp-to-perm opportunity. Immediate availability to interview and to begin a role is needed. Only local candidates considered.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
  • Assist with daily orders processing and datasheet preparation
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Develop and maintain a filing system with regular data entry required
  • Daily check deposits
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures
  • Order office supplies and research new deals and supplier

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an administrator or office admin assistant
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especial Word, and Excel
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Some knowledge of QuickBooks or related accounting software is a plus
  • B.A./B.S. (any field) or associates degree and relevant experience
