Our Non-Profit (Arts) client in Boston is looking for a Development Assistant to support and strengthen a rapidly growing non-profit arts organization by maintaining a donor acknowledgment system and providing special project assistance to the chief fundraiser, the Executive Director. This is a contract position and the ability to start quickly is required. Only local candidates considered.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Gift processing through data entry and timely Individual and Foundation gift acknowledgment
- Routine donor data entry and report-running in Salesforce.
- Manage lists for Mailchimp email distribution
- Manage lists for Mailchimp email distribution
- Maintain systems within Salesforce as needed to track various income types, donors, events, etc.
- Manage and execute data needs and letter printing coordination for end-of-year Annual Fund Campaign
- Light research and program coordination
- Perform an audit of all donor print materials and recommend new print needs
Qualifications:
- One year of experience in non-profit development is preferred
- Skills and proven results using Salesforce to track fundraising campaigns
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to scale messages across varying levels of formality
- Systems experience with MS Office and Google Suite
- Experience in the arts is a plus, but not required
- Bachelors’s degree is perffered, but Associates’s degree holders with relevant experience will be considered
- Experience with Salesforce and MailChimp is a plus
