Our Non-Profit client in Cambridge is looking for a Finance Manager with superior attention to detail and excellent communication and relationship building skills to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders while providing financial support at a non-profit. This is a direct-hire position with a salary range in the mid 60Ks to high 70Ks per year. Immediate availability to interview is needed.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Monitor and execute the day-to-day financial operations including billing, contract management/reporting, payroll, invoicing, banking, investments and other financial needs and transactions as necessary
- Work closely with employees to ensure accurate time reporting
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures; provide information and expectations to Executive Director to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
- Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement; seek out methods to minimizing financial risk
- Lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors
- Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting; implement all financial, project/program and grants accounting in Quickbooks
- Implement contracts management and financial management/reporting system to ensure contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to, and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements
- Ensure all policies and procedures comply with legal regulations and best practices and ensure timely and accurate reporting to all outside agencies
- Complete other duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Proficiency in software applications such as Excel and Word, and knowledge of accounting and reporting software
- Understanding of data privacy standards and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Outstanding organizational, planning, research and analytical skills
- Personal commitment to integrity, credibility, and honesty
- At least five years of experience in a finance role
- BA/BS or advanced degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
