Our client, a station within a Boston-based University, has embarked on a $150 million comprehensive campaign that will enable them  to invest in content, people and innovation. Over five years, their 26-person fundraising team is responsible for securing $48 million in restricted gifts to support a variety of initiatives, in addition to $102 million in unrestricted support.

The University is in need of a contract Gift Operations Coordinator who will play a critical role in this effort by ensuring timely and accurate gift entry, as well as thorough updates and entry of donor information. This work allows the effective solicitation and stewardship of the station’s  donors. The Coordinator is responsible for daily donation processing, generating transaction reports, and ensuring the data integrity of the database.

This is a hybrid contract position, requiring 4 days per week in the office, and is expected to last a minimum of three months.

Gift Entry Requirements:

  • Enters all charitable gifts and commitments to the appropriate donor records, including accurately recording all hard and soft credits. This includes commitment fulfillment schedules for multi-year commitments.
  • Records complex donor transactions, timely and accurately, with a special focus on interpreting and vetting related gift documentation with respect to any restrictions.
  • Process credit card transactions, ensuring PCI compliance. Process card updates.
  • Assist in the matching gift process.

Database Management Requirements:

  • Records donor information into the database with a careful attention to gift and donor details, including address and name updates.
  • Support database integrity when making modifications to update or correct errors.
  • Maintain comprehensive electronic gift back up in an organized and accessible manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of nonprofit gift-entry experience
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently yet collaboratively with multiple teams or departments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good judgment and the ability to maintain confidential information

The Coordinator must be able to work during the December holiday period (from December 26th through December 31st).
