Our Business client in Weymouth is looking for a motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic Help Desk Technician with strong interpersonal and organizational skills to provide strong customer service and technological support. This is a contract role. This full-time position will be on-site. Immediate availability to interview and to begin working is needed. 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Triage incoming requests via phone and email; determine priority, create and track tickets in Help Desk Software system
  • Perform level 1 and 2 technical support to our customers in person or over the phone
  • Provide technical assistance for all IT related hardware
  • Ensure tickets are updated with detailed technical notes and are resolved correctly
  • Assist with new user training and orientation, asset management, and new and existing customer documentation
  • Setup, image and ship new machines to remote locations; assist with creating and updating knowledge base articles; assist team members with on-site support as needed
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory ordering as necessary; meet / exceed tickets Service Desk SLA’s and PKI’s
  • Identify and help implement opportunities for improvement; participate in the nights and weekend on call rotation, and assist with user / office moves as necessary
  • Additional duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization and customers of all types
  • High level of attention to detail and effective time management skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office365, Networking (TCP/IP) and Active Directory (group policies, file/share permissions) and experience with machine imaging
  • A+ certification preferred
  • Knowledge of remote access tools (Splashtop, RDP, or VNC) and desktop hardware
  • 1-2 years’ experience providing customer support over the phone or in person
  • At least 2-5 years’ experience in a Help Desk/End User/desktop support environment; or an Associates Degree in Computer Science; or any combination of college and experience
