Manager of Accounting & Financial Operations for a University in Boston: Medical School (Direct Hire 115K)

Our University Medical School client in Boston is looking for a Manager of Accounting & Financial Operations to directly oversee staff and be responsible for major aspects of the revenue reporting cycle for the clinical operations of the university medical school. This is a direct-hire position for an individual with superior interpersonal and communication skills. The salary range for this role is 115-125K per year.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working in conjunction with the clinical and operations teams in assuring compliance with established controls, guidelines and regulations

• Develops and maintains audit planning to aid Compliance Program and Operations Team with risk mitigation and regulatory compliance

• Preparing monthly reporting, analysis and the underlying business processes for billing, payment plans and claims management

• Developing, implementing and reviewing audit plans for internal controls

• Budget creation and reconciliation

• Assess and create metrics to benchmark progress and results

• Extensive experience with revenue forecasting and recognition; cost-benefit analysis of profit and loss; year-end closing

• Providing new and required training and professional development opportunities to direct reports

• Manage and supervise office staff

• Additional duties as needed

Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar

• 5-8 years of work related work experience, with previous work in the Accounting function

• Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP

• Demonstrated experience with financial analytics and reporting

• Excellent organizational, problem solving, and project management experience

• Internal Audit experience is preferred

• Previous experience supervising/managing staff
