Our Government Agency client in Cambridge is looking for a Senior Administrative Assistant with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to support their administrative functions. This is a contract role. Must exhibit discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Prepares correspondence, reports, handles inquiries, and maintains files; files and distributes contracts
  • Communicates effectively orally and in writing by answering emails and phone calls
  • Orders and maintains inventory for the Purchasing Departments office supplies and keeps supplies orderly in supply closet
  • Assists with the Purchasing Department budget and bill paying process
  • Processes contracts, assists with the designer selection and contract processes and responds to public records requests.
  • Updates vendor and bid information in our bid tracking system 
  • Acts as the Purchasing contact for Purchase Order and other related issues
  • Additional administrative duties as assigned



  • Solid understanding of MS Office programs 
  • Critical thinking and reasoning skills
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Able to complete work in a deadline-driven environment
  • BA/BS in any field
