Our client, a prestigious Boston-based University, is in need of a Supplier Onboarding Specialist who will report to the Associate Director of Shared Services on the Shared Services team and handles the day-to-day registration of Disbursement suppliers (3 series) primarily, and PO suppliers (1 series) on an as needed basis, using the appropriate supplier registration software (SAP, OnBase, and Ariba SLP).
This is a full-time (37.5 hours a week), onsite, contract position, which is expected to last three months although it is also possible that the assignment will be extended, or the job converted to a temporary to permanent spot.
The Specialist will be responsible for analyzing supplier registrations for correct tax information, employment status, banking information, resident alien status, and other governmental reporting requirements.
In addition, the Specialist analyzes and resolves outstanding issues frequently instructing and training suppliers on action needed. Correct identification of independent contractors and other IRS-mandated reporting is essential. Strict adherence to all controls is essential to remediate fraud and supplier payment issues.
The Specialist works independently and as a member of the P2P Shared Services team to complete supplier registrations in a timely manner, and on an as-needed basis, support other Shared Services functions to cover each-other’s vacations, and absences, and to occasionally balance workload across the team, through cross-training.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of a college degree.
- Experience with SAP, OnBase, and Ariba SLP preferred.
- Experience in the higher educational field also a major plus
