Our client, a Boston based University, is in need of a contract Integration Lead for their Workday Finance and Payroll. As the Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing integrations between Workday Finance and Payroll modules and other enterprise systems. The hybrid post, which is expected to last 12 months, includes being in the office for a minimum of three days a week to facilitate collaboration and teamwork.

The position requires deep technical expertise in Workday’s integration capabilities, financial processes, and payroll management, as well as strong project management skills to coordinate cross functional teams during implementation and ongoing operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity across systems, optimizing business processes, and enabling seamless data flow between Workday and third-party applications. The Integration Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to implement reliable, efficient, and secure integration solutions that support organizational objectives.

The right individual will serve as a player coach on the Workday Integration team.

About this Job:

Occasional availability outside of traditional working hours to address urgent business needs as they arise, including, but not limited to, responding to security incidents, supporting software deployments, resolving software issues or system breaks, and addressing other critical operational requirements.

Must be proactive and adaptable, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations by promptly addressing any issues, regardless of time or day. Flexibility and a strong sense of urgency are essential for success in this position.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with ERP system implementations, with at least 3 years specializing in Workday Finance and/or Payroll integrations.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Workday integration tools including Integration Cloud, EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, and PICOF.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and its integration with core Workday Finance modules.
  • Strong understanding of financial and payroll business processes including AP/AR, GL, banking, tax filing, benefits, and compensation.
