“Mind over matter” is a phrase we’ve all heard at one point or another, but what does it really mean? In light of Swami Vivekananda’s words of wisdom above, we are reminded that our thoughts truly frame everything from how we perceive of ourselves and our environments to how we approach different situations. Most psychology and self-help literature references positive thinking as a reinforcement for positive life-changes– choose your thoughts wisely and make an effort to be consciously aware of how one line of thought leads to another and affects your functionality in the world.
