Tip 1 for Being a Better Leader: Lead by Example

by Feb 26, 2019

A good leader will try to improve their effectiveness and that is the focus of our next 10 tip series. Expanding on the Leadership recommendations of Carly Okyle, we’ll be looking at ways of an effective leader.

The first of these is to lead by example. Okyle finds that “leaders need to show, not just tell. If you want your employees to be punctual, make sure you’re there on time — or even early.” Other areas you can show the qualities that you wish to reinforce include; positivity, proactiveness, attention to detail and follow through. Think of the qualities that you would like to see in the workplace and then consider what actions you can do to demonstrate them.
