Tip 10 for Being a Better Leader: Don’t Stop Learning and Improving

Our final tip for being a better leader is to never stop learning and improving. It can be tempting to stick with approaches and systems that work but even with smoothly running motor there are often ways to improve performance and efficiency. This may be as simple as small scheduling changes, the use of new software functions or different personnel assignments. Carly Okyle reflects, “Great leaders — indeed, great people — are constantly learning and always trying to improve themselves. There’s always something that you can work on or a new skill to master. Be sure to keep your mind open to new ideas and possibilities.” The context in which we work also in flux and requires both necessary adaption to meet the changes and an eye for spotting opportunities on which to leverage.
