Employee of the Quarter – Molly Sullivan
It’s that time again, the time for Employee of the Quarter. The team at Contemporaries is pleased to present the award and bonus for this quarter to Molly Sullivan!
Molly is a diligent and driven employee who is always willing to go the extra mile. She regularly shows up early, stays late, and is always on top of things. All of us in our office agree that she is well-deserving of the title. Our clients always mention how much value Molly brings to the assignments she is placed on.
Congratulations Molly, and thank you for continuing to represent Contemporaries so well! We’re thrilled to be working with you.
Why did you apply to Contemporaries?
I had been working in sales/retail for a while, and I wanted to try something new. Specifically, I wanted to try administrative work to gain new skills beyond the retail experience I had.
What road blocks were you facing in your job search before you came to Contemporaries?
I have three out of four years completed for my degree, so that was a challenge. But now, I have two years of office experience through Contemporaries, which really helps for my resume.
What skills have you gained through your placements at Contemporaries?
I’ve learned how the office environment and a typical office job work, like how to be professional in the workplace and that sort of thing. I’ve also learned new programs, especially Excel. Using it on the job has been really helpful.
What show or book are you currently watching/reading?
I just finished a book by the Mayor of New Orleans, Mitch Landrieu called “In the Shadow of Statues”. I’m also currently reading “The Nixon Defense” by John W. Dean. On a lighter note, I’m also in the middle of reading Tina Fey’s “Bossy Pants”.
Who inspires you?
My mom for sure.
How would you describe your relationship with Contemporaries?
It’s very good. I appreciate the jobs I’ve been assigned to, especially my current assignment. I think I have a level of independence due to the experience I’ve gotten through Contemporaries. I feel like I have the opportunity to learn new things while also doing my job, and getting support from Contemporaries.
