Make Room for Meditation
Meditation has been proven to be an effective way to manage stress, achieve goals, and become more productive. It’s a great way to start and end each day, but is also effective if you can manage to find a few moments in the middle of your day too.
We all know the Monday through Friday grind, and how hectic our days can be during the work week. It’s easy to let meditation and other self-care practices fall to the wayside. If only we could use the small moments in between the business in our day to breathe and meditate…
But we can!
In her article here, Jane Burnett gives some tips on how to meditate and remain mindful throughout even our busiest days. It can be as simple as finding a quieter spot in the office to work, or putting in your headphones and listening to a soothing sound or song while you work. Burnett also recommends using your phone to literally remind you to stop and take a break to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and be mindful. You can even use your commute to “zone out” with your headphones in, if you can manage to drown out the chaos around you. Finally, Burnett, recommends taking time to really meditate when you get home.
Read Burnett’s super helpful article here, and get started with remaining mindful at work!
