Love your work? Tell your Interviewer!
According to a new study in Science Direct, if you love your work you should tell your interviewer. Monica Torres discusses the finding of this study in a recent article and observes that, “job seekers underestimate the effect of talking about this internal motivator in job interviews.” Those same job seeker wrongly assume that the interviewer wants to hear how the role will help advance their career. Torres later notes that, “researchers suggest this discrepancy could be because we think about these passions more in our heads and not enough out loud.” If you are passionate about your work, share it!
