Presentation Tip 1: Practice out loud

by May 16, 2019

Presenting your ideas effectively in the workplace is important, especially when delivering your views in a meeting. There are a number of steps you can take to build your confidence and improve your performance but simply practising OUT LOUD remains an effective strategy. Chelsea Greenwood recently quoted the director of Microsoft’s executive communications as saying, “How you think about your presentation and how it sounds out loud can be very different, so always practice out loud — in the shower, while you are getting dressed, or as you drive to work.” If practising in the shower is an approved strategy for building presentation skills among directors at Microsoft, then it’s probably still worth a shot.
