Wednesday Wellness: Present

by Oct 21, 2020

Happy Hump Day! While you’re here at the week’s mid-point, let yourself be mentally present in this moment rather than thinking about the days that have passed, or the days that are yet to come. Focus on your professional environment as is it, and on your interactions with your co-workers and bosses as they currently exist. Engage in active listening, keeping your mind actively present in every conversation. While our current, uncertain times offer up ample and understandable distractions, it’s still necessary to find your focus throughout your workday. To help you do just that, keep in mind the sayings below that we’re highlighting for you today:

Let yourself exist in the present, casting off worries about both what was and what might be, and instead allow yourself to focus on what lies in front of you. Doing so will keep your mind open to the possibilities that exist in the present, finding ample opportunities to inspire you to play into your professional strengths. Aim to practice mindfulness each moment, and you’ll also be able to show up as your full self at work, producing an optimal workplace performance that is sure to impress colleagues and employers alike. So, take a deep breath, and focus on the present. Join us again tomorrow as we return with even more ways to keep your head in the game and your mind focused on the here and now.
