Monday Mood Booster: Calm
Welcome back! Amidst the unprecedented circumstances of our present times, we figure everyone could use an extra dose of calmness this week. A great way to establish a calm foundation is to recognize that change is a constant part of life, and that some of the changes that take place will occur outside your sphere of control. Focus on what it is that you CAN control. And keep living in the here and now, no matter your professional environment. Know that you will experience a lot of emotions this week; feeling emotional is normal, and even expected. While you may not have the ability to control what happens in the world around you, you do have the ability to decide which thoughts you’d like to further pursue, and which trains of thought are no longer serving you. In order to achieve peak serenity this week, make sure you’re also practicing mindfulness, grounding yourself in the present moment rather than fears of the future.
