Feel Good Friday: Readjust
Happy Friday! Congratulations–you’ve made it through what we know was a weird week for many of you as you readjusted to professional environments with a bit less uncertainty. We know, too, that even that sort of change is still a change, and that it may feel uncomfortable to shift away from previous adjustments you had to make. Remember that change is both a constant and natural part of life. While you can’t control change, what you do have power over is your mindset and your actions. Instead of fearing change, embrace it. The below sayings we’re highlighting for you today will help you do just that:
- “Change is a wonderful learning experience for me.”
- “Each life change is an opportunity for self reflection and positive action.”
- “I now step out of my comfort zone to become the person I believe I can be.”
Think of change as an educational opportunity, one that will help you to grow and blossom with each professional development. While you can’t avoid change occuring, what you can control–and where your unique strengths will shine–is in the ways you take action in the face of and aftermath of those new circumstances. Use unprecedented circumstances as a time for self reflection, considering how you might take more positive action moving forward. And letting yourself embrace change by actively choosing to step outside your comfort zone will only further contribute to your growth, allowing you to step closer to each and every professional goal.
