Feel Good Friday: Steady

Happy Friday! As the week draws to a close, take a moment to reflect on all the opportunities that each day has brought your way–in other words, take a moment to practice gratitude. This reflection on the past will help to keep you from getting overwhelmed by excitement or anxiety about what the future will be bringing your way, instead allowing you to live in the present. And to keep steady! Maintaining a steady pace and finding balance in your workplace is key to continued professional success. To help keep you in the right mindset, keep in mind the below sayings that we’ve highlighted for you today:
- “I am calm and deliberate.”
- “I make a difference in the world by simply existing in it and trying to make it a better place in whatever ways I can.”
- “I know what my priorities are, and ensure that I give these my daily attention.”
While calmness might seem passive, being calm and deliberate is an active choice. Choose to react to workplace circumstances in a calm and deliberate fashion rather than kneejerk reacting, and your leadership qualities will shine. Know that even as you strive to reach your ideal version of you, you’re already making a difference each and every way through your contributions to your communities. As you work towards your goals, make sure to keep those priorities in mind each and every day. Even if you’re only able to devote a moment or two to your professional development, it’s still more than nothing. And every “little” bit counts! Keep that in mind, and you’ll be able to enter into your weekend in a balanced, steady state. And then we’ll see you back here again on Monday for our newest set of mood boosters!
