Monday Mood Booster: Joy

Happy Monday! And when we say that, we truly mean it–this week we’ll be focusing on how to create and harness a sense of happiness within any professional environment and beyond. Mondays can be a drag. But don’t allow yourself to get bogged down in the tasks facing you today! Instead, view the completion of those tasks as a way to stay mindful in the present. You’ll soon have a day off this week. While you’ll need to make sure to not become distracted by excitement, allow the happiness of the days to come to fuel you throughout your work day. The sayings we’ve curated for you below today will help you do just that:
- “I choose to be happy everyday.”
- “I create the possibility of happiness for others by being happy.”
- “I accept peace and joy in all aspects of my life.”
While you can’t control the circumstances that life throws your way, you have the ability to control how you react to those obstacles. So choose to be happy! Find the silver linings amidst difficulties, knowing that each situation offers up opportunities to learn and grow. And remember that you’re not tackling these challenges alone–you’ll have your workplace community navigating them along the way. Let your joy be a guiding light for others. And while it may feel uncomfortable to experience joy amidst our present circumstances, know that it’s okay to lean into joy when and where you can find it. That happiness will serve as your fuel throughout each and every day. Join us again tomorrow as we consider concrete ways to cultivate joy in any workplace.
