Monday Mood Booster: Best of 2020

Happy Monday! We hope you enjoyed your long weekend. It may seem strange to highlight anything about this particular calendar year, but we know that there were some ups along with the many unprecedented downs–and along the way, we’ve been happy to provide you with professional inspiration no matter the circumstances. This year has involved embarking on new journeys, adjusting to change, and persevering. You’ve succeeded in the face of workplace situations never before encountered. And that’s worthy of several congratulations! So, make sure to keep that in mind as you check out today’s Best of 2020 Monday Mood Boosters, curated to help you navigate smoothly into 2021:
Beginnings
- “Every day is a fresh start.”
- “Today looks a lot like the beginning of a great week!”
- “I start every day off on the right foot.”
It’s not the new year yet, but you can still look to each and every day as an opportunity for a fresh start. And viewing today through a positive lens will help ensure a positive outcome for the rest of your week! Trust in yourself to make decisions that will lead you towards your goals for 2021 (and beyond!) and you’ll start each and every day off on the right foot.
Change
- “Change is a wonderful learning experience for me.”
- “Each life change is an opportunity for self reflection and positive action.”
- “I now step out of my comfort zone to become the person I believe I can be.”
Change can be scary, but it also offers up new opportunities to learn and grow. Change is–for better or worse–an unavoidable part of life, especially during 2020. Utilize each new life change as a chance to both reflect and to take concrete, positive actions. Know that you have the strength to stretch beyond your comfort goals and take strides towards your goals.
Persevere
- “I can do this.”
- “Every challenge I face fires my inner resolve.”
- “I release old habits that are limiting my potential.”
To reiterate: you can do this! You’ve already persevered throughout 2020, and we know you have the strength to continue on achieving your dreams in 2021. Allow the difficult circumstances you face to serve as fuel, building up your perseverance for each new challenge you tackle. Finally, a key step to maintaining your pace is to stop falling back on old habits, and instead lean into the unknown.
We’re looking forward to the new start and exciting changes that 2021 will bring. And we also know that the need to persist and persevere will remain, even as the calendar year changes. Which is why we’ll be here all along the way to cheer you on and offer up methods for navigating any circumstances your professional situation throws your way! Join us again throughout the week as we take a look back at 2020 while looking forward to what 2021 has to offer.
