Resume Tips: Keep it Clean, Clear & Simple

by | May 30, 2019

When writing your resume, keep it clean, clear and simple.  Your prospective employer shouldn’t have to riffle through pages or try to decipher your meaning. One clear page is better than several with unnecessary information.

A clean resume is a pleasure to look at. There is neither dead space, nor an excessive attempt cram text right up to the borders. The font, text size, and formatting are consistent throughout and have a polished feel.

Be concise with your word choices when writing your Skills, Experience, Education sections. Be selective. Choose relevant tasks and accomplishments for inclusion, especially when tailoring the resume to a particular job. Include the relevant and drop the fluff. Be clear and keep it simple.
