Tip 10 for Respect, Productivity & Notice at Work: Prep for Tomorrow
The final tip for increasing your respect, productivity and notice at work is to prepare yourself for the next day by creating an ‘Outstanding List’ (OS) or ‘To Do List’ for the next day. This tip works well in conjunction with the previous tip to spend some time at the end of your day taking stock of all that you accomplished.
If you started the day with an OS list, use it to reflect on progress and consider follow-up steps for tomorrow. Browse your calendar for upcoming meetings and steps that may be needed prior to them. Both the meetings and any necessary steps should be listed in your plan for the day.
As Shana Lebowitz observes, “don’t wait until tomorrow morning to figure out what you need to be working on. Workplace experts have told Business Insider that it’s important to get your most important objectives for the next day down on paper.”
