Tip 4 for Being a Better Leader: Chair Productive Meetings

The next tip for being a better leader is to keep meetings productive. Team meetings are a great place to brainstorm and ensure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to project changes and developments. However, unnecessary or unnecessarily long meetings can also become be the source of frustration and productivity loss.


If you have made your points and provided space to table pointed questions and concerns, then let your team get back to work. As Carly Okyle suggests,  good leaders should “limit tangents and other time wasters during meetings.” Such occurrences can come the leader or a team member, but it’s a leaders job to keep meetings productive.
